Accessibility

We want Howff to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act and equivalent laws.

What we support

  • • Screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack) · labelled controls, landmarks and headings.
  • • Full keyboard / switch use, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to content” link.
  • • Text scaling and pinch-zoom (we never lock zoom); layouts reflow for large text.
  • • Reduced-motion and high-contrast operating-system settings are respected.
  • • Colour is never the only way we signal meaning; touch targets meet minimum sizes.
  • • Light and dark themes both pass automated contrast checks on every screen we ship.

Known limitations

The interactive map is visual; the same venues are always available as a labelled list. Some third-party content (venue websites, event listings) is outside our control. We’re actively improving and welcome reports.
